Why is Openness Theology Dangerous?

I pointed out before how this aberrant doctrine undermines people's faith in God's ability to care for them. Sowing doubt in people's minds is what Satan specializes in.

Genesis 3:1 (KJV) shows how he caused the first two people to doubt God. "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, 'Yea, hath God said, "Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?'"

Limiting God is also what the pagans did in this instance from 1 Kings 20:28 (KJV). "And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, 'Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, "The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys," therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.'"

By believing that God Almighty isn't as powerful as he is, Openness proponents rob him of his glory and honour. Look at what Revelation 4:11 (KJV) plainly says. "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

Likewise, Nebuchadnezzar learned the hard way that God Almighty is the one to whom all honour, praise, and authority belong. He said in Daniel 4:3 (KJV), "How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation."

I could write much more about how certain people limit God while exalting themselves but I'll save it for my next book called You Think You're Going to Heaven? If God isn't all powerful and he doesn't know the future, it's pointless to trust fully in him. But since he is and does, we can.
